Clutch Replacement for an S
its not that bad of a job. Took me about 6hrs both times I've swapped one out with hand tools and jack stands. I'd assume labor at an independent shop to be $800-1000 and parts are $1600+ if you go oem, you can save money by doing it yourself, resurfacing your flywheel and you'll learn some stuff at the same time.
get the ACT pressure plate, oem everything else

I've never done more than an oil change but at this point ive called 7 different shops and the lowset ive been given is 2400. I'm not sure i'd be able to manage a full clutch job lol.
Also whats the upside of the ACT plate over the oem one?
Thanks for you time !

The ACT plate has more clamping force I believe. It's the same thing as the Mugen PP +OEM everything else that people recommended years ago.
You might want to join the local Facebook Groups. There is a guy there who does S2000 work on the side with many happy customers. He might be what you're looking for.

I’m who Feezy was referring to that has worked on many S2000s in the valley, including lots of clutches. Let me know if you’re interested. I also have accounts with all the big brands and can save on parts as well.
