They're not really holding on to anything. The FP box is only used to flash once and most people won't need it after their dyno tune flash anyway. The shop would have one "master" FP box to use for all cars with licenses for each. It makes sense.

Even if you make future tuning changes (new parts, etc) at the same shop, you're still good.

It's a good idea, will sell well and inspires people to spend the "saved" money at the shops for tunning.

Being able to Road tune your own AFRs is nice though. As well as switching back and forth b/t tunes.

Will likely reduce the amount of illegitimate complaints Hondata gets b/c people F up their tunes and or break their flashpro or are just plain stupid and mess anything up. Puts the technical job in the hands of the technically inclinded.. .

Good luck!! I drove that in a 99 JDM Toyota spyder when I lived 90 min from there... My lap took a little longer than 8:00

The night before I ran it, a pal came over to the house and we hooked up a PS2 to a projector and a Logitech wheel, and practiced in the hopes that it would keep us out of the Armcos! If you make it over there, remember that the blind corners are REALLY good at hiding the multi-(milliondollar)-car pileups just ahead of you...

The parking lot is also the greatest car meet EVER.

Thanks guys. I am hoping to book tickets this week, or beginning of next week. I will def take tons of pictures to document the trip.

Best part is, I met a very generous S2000 owner on the forums, who is planning on letting me use his RHD S2000 on the ring!! I just pay gas, ring fees, and insurance if I crash lol. Knock on wood this goes through!!
