Don't use shops. It's pretty easy to do yourself. I would have someone help you so you can use that money towards an alignment. Im pretty sure a few guys here would be willing to help out, maybe during a mini tech day or something

I have done it a few times. It depends onthe coilovers though. What did you buy? Do they have top hats? Where are you located? It's maybe a 3 hour job.

Robert mentioned he was going to have a tech day at his house in the next month or so. He lives down in Maricopa. If you can hold off time then Im sure a few of us wouldn't mind helping you put them on.

I've heard the job can take much longer than three hours.... specifically when half way through the install the "installer" puts on a camelback full of Tequila and goes snorkeling at the bottom of the pool. I've been told this happened but I don't actually remember it occurring.

That's just planning on anything unexpected. If it was 2 people that have done it before its shorter. Also depends on adjusting them. I try to take my time so I don't forget stuff.

Also Feezy I would expect that could make he process longer but it sounds like more fun.

With 2 people that have done it before, the install should be an hour or less excluding adjustments. The front's should be about 5 minutes per with 1 person.

I could do it in 2 hours with two people. The only part I would need help is in the rear with holding the strut and securing the top hat bolts, especially on the left side.

Depends how many bolts are seized and how much rust there is. Mine had a ton and the control arm bolts were spot welded so it took some muscle to break them loose the first time.

That's with coilovers that already have top hats. If you are disassembling the OEM struts to reuse the top hats, a spring compressor from autozone and an impact wrench will make short work of your struts.
