Not able to adjust in my BIOS. Looked for a back door and nothing online yet.
I'm not messing with drivers any more, the one works and I went back to it. I don't ever think it was the driver.

Another solution if you don't want to crack the case is to go into Device Manager and check to see which model is listed for your graphics processor. Then go to the card manufacturer's website and look at the specs for that model.
I've had 3 generations of Dell laptops at work now and I've found some inconsistencies in what Dell lists and what the manufacturer specs.

upgrading drivers will not unlike more memory on the card, the bios is going to show how much sysyem memory will be dedicated to helping the video card rendering, in desktops with more memory you can change the value. dell laptops are very proprietary. Running the DX diag like you did shows the correct value of video card memory, so you are fine.
