In theory, I much prefer the SL option but they seem a little more fragile. I am only going by some stories I have seen in the past but this doesn't seem to be an isolated case. I'm not sure if the small amount of oil in the blower can stand up to the heat or what the issue is exactly. I am guessing minimum $400 for a basic rebuild of bearings and seals though.

I say recheck all the mounting points. Can you take a video?

In the SL version - how is the blower's fluid cooled?

Non-SL FTW!

If it does end up being the blower I'd personally switch to the 1200 since it will already be out/down.
