the newest restaurant that has authentic Dim Sum is Golden Buddha; by far the best I have tasted in the valley.
I used to work at Ayako so I'm biased... though most japanese sushi/teppan restaurants have edamame; you can even buy the frozen kind at Lee Lee oriental market, Ranch 99 market and some grocery stores around the valley.
For a younger crowd you can always try Kyoto's, Blue Wasabi, or Stingray (I like the latter the most)
Silver shadow sounds like you have some kind of yella fever
I know more about restarants in the east valley b/c I grew up down here but up in N.Phoenix I'm not too knowledgable.
