After being stuck behind a garbage truck going below the speed limit for about 15 miles a passing lane appears. The truck decides to stay in the left lane so I drop a few gears and commit to passing on the right in a sharp left corner. A couple seconds later the truck decides to get into the slow lane. Oops, I am there! I am kind of cloudy on the details from there but it goes something like this...I drop the right rear tire off the pavement or hit some gravel and the rear starts to swing wide right, I overcorrect and the rear snaps hard to the left and we slide sideways and go totally off the pavement, bounce into a wide gulley, go airborne, and hit a wall at about two feet off the ground.
The wife and I are both fine except for my pride. Of course the truck didn't stop. I am now more convinced than ever that I am a Honda man. We came out of this with not so much as a bruise.
