emanage tuners
Ok so 90% of my SC problems have been solved, now I just need some fine tuning of the emanage. The tuner I have been going to knows a lot about tuning cars and has a dynojet, but has no experience with an SCd S2000. He was able to get my car pulling smoothly and safely, but its not perfect by any means. I am only seeing about 285whp, and should be over 300 with my setup (many people are). I spent all day Friday (10am to 5:30pm) with him at his shop. We both had the manual out and spent time in the forums reading up on the specifics of emanage, but we still do not have all the tuning aspects of it down. We finally just put a "safe" program in, and I went on my way. He only charged me for 2 hours because of the large learning curve.
So I would like someone with extensive emanage experience with an S2000 to fine tune my car. Anybody know of one?

I believe that one of my fellow AZ drivers has this "piggyback" chip. His S seems to pull away from my stock S quite easily.
For the sake of myself and the forum, would you explain more about how we can get this "piggyback" and how it is installed and programmed?
On the same line, can we order new plug-in chips for our ECU that may work well for high performance. (I have heard that most cars are "detuned" for safety and reliability.)
Word?
I'm on the track, and I'm chasing down an '03 S that constantly pulls away who has a "piggyback" chip.
Is this a PROM? And... What do we need to program it?
Thanks,
CB

Realistically on a S2000 with I/H/E and test pipe. if you were to put an EMS on there you would see 15-18whp gain on that set up, on top of what you already had before the tune. which is decent.
we did ship someone out and it is expensive. When dealing with NSX motors only the best will suffice, otherwise you'll be stuck with a 15K paper weight.

SoS does sound expensive. I dont have that big of a bank roll. I probably only need an hour or two with someone just to fine tune it so it runs a little better. I plan to get injectors, FPR, and pulley kit, so I will need a better tune then.
EMS is the way to go, but its 5X more expensive and a hassle when you have to get smogged. Plus I only want 330whp or so in the end. I would like to get 300whp now with my setup, and smoother pull.
And a piggyback wont really do much for a NA car because they come highly tuned from the factory. Like Joe said, with bolt ons and emanage you could probably get 220whp, and I had 204 pre SC.

I know Rich has tuned more than a few SC'd cars. I'm not certain they were running the e-manage but I'm sure he still knows how. They have the best dyno I've ever seen or heard of.
