Default Fender Rolling

My buddy Nick is looking to get 2 of his fenders rolled on his LSB M3 to accommodate for some Works he's getting. He knows of a place that will do a good job for $50 a fender but i thought i'd check here for a cheaper alternative. Anyone have suggestions on where to go that will do a good job?

Any info would be great. Thanks.

If they do a "good job" for $50 a fender then just go to that shop. You're paying for someones skill more so than just the labor. There are some things where it is just worth the extra few dollars, so if he's comfortable with the shops skill/knowledge regarding his car and what his specific fenders like/don't like in regards to the rolling/flaring process I would recommend he go there.

This fender rolling business is more of an art than people give it credit for. The shope he is thinking of do they specialize in his car? Have the done his car before? Has he seen the results?

I believe he's seen the results. I just remember from previous conversations on here that there are some people that do a good job for a decent price. i told him i'd check on here first to try and save him some cash since the wheels are going to run him 3k+ w/o tires

its the rear fenders. He said that they are a pain to roll compared to the fronts. I'll let him know to just go to his original choice

Just make sure his original choice has has plenty of experience with his car. If not I can call Adrian but he lives in California and I can not give you and ETA on when he will be in town next.

When I go to a shop for something like fender rolling, I want to see the equipment being used and examples of their work. Id care about the dollar value last if u want ur 10,000$ OEM paint job to stay nice.

Weigh ur options in a logical order. Might help to bounce the ideas off of people that don't care about car looks so that risk is weighed reasonably.

Thanks for all the input guys. its been awhile since i've posted much on here since i don't have my S anymore and couldn't remember who all rolled fenders. Just looking to help some people out with a little extra cash and a good roll. But from what it sounds like, E46 rear fenders are a b%$#&, so to the shop it will go haha.

When most people think about rolling fenders, they picture just the roller going back and forth on the car. It's the same with painting, or even welding. They just see paint being laid down, or just the sparks and bright light of welding. But those things are only a faction of what goes into a good job. Most people dont see all the meticulous prep work done before laying down paint or a few dimes of weld.
