Guys, in a week, I'll be flying to your beautiful state and will hopefully be leaving in an S. Tricky thing is, I'm not super comfortable with buying a car sight-unseen, so I'd like to get the two S's I'm looking at inspected by the folks at SoS.

Due to work and scheduling, I'm only able to arrive Friday evening, after SoS closes for the day. "Fine, go Saturday," right? Ah but SoS told me they're closed on the weekend! Huge oversight on my part.

So here's where one of you hopefully steps in: can anyone help me out and take two cars to get inspected at SoS? I'm not interested in wasting anyone's time, since I already booked plane tickets. I will obviously pay for the inspections and will compensate you for your time. Please let me know! I'd love to finally join the S community!

Where are the two cars you're looking to have inspected located?

 

Tempe 85284 and Surprise 85388. So everything is within 15 miles.

Tempe is close to me however I work the same hours that SOS is open so I can't drive one over there. You can PM me the link and I can take a look. Is it at a dealer or private sale? I could maybe look at it for you.

 

The owner won't just drive it there themselves to have checked out? If you are paying for an independent inspection and the time for someone on this board why wouldn't you just have the owner do it and have SOS give you the details?

 

I'm willing to help out wherever i can, i could probably help with the one in surprise, but what exactly is it that you want/need done?

Also, the owners are ok with someone coming over and taking their cars?

Both cars are from dealers, turbo_pwr, so my _guess_ _was_ that they'd probably not do it themselves. As it turns out, they both said 'ehh...I guess we can." Even the one in Surprise. Fingers crossed neither of them get sold before I make it there.
