elaborate this CV thing for my n00b-ass.
i am searching and trying to read about it but nothing makes sense...
my car rattles and rumbles all the time...
and we have CLOSE to the same mileage (i think?) and year...

did you get this done at a shop?
cost?

i have a lot of plans for my s but i want to make sure everything is as close to smooth as possible before i start to mod...

i did this over a year ago at around 85k and it was the best thing i did for comfort. this took away all the vibrations. if you want it done, there are a number of shops that will do it.

What kind of clunking did you all have?

My car clunks when I reverse and go forward...

Yeah, mine happened so gradual that I didn't really notice it until a friend rode along with me and pointed it out. Mine was mainly noticeable by a vibration on hard acceleration. I didn't realize how bad it was until we swapped the cups and it was night and day difference.

Markymark! Whats up man? Long time no see.

The inner CV Cups on our axles are notorious for pitting. The driver's side is always a bit worse and it causes vibration during acceleration and usually becomes worse if you lower your car.

What did the wheel bearing job end up costing you?

I paid $623 for a new bearing, hub, rear brake pads installed. Including the inner CV swap, rotor resurface, new grease and straps for the CV boots.
