Default I need an event!

It is still another month until Irvine, and we have zero plans on the table for a get-together. Who wants to go on a long, fast drive, music blaring, wind blowing, engine growling, to nowhere in particular?

I'm up for it! Name the road, meeting place and time.

Tanq,

I'm there if you can do it 7/28 or 8/4. Would be fun to go somewhere cool (temp).

Second, where and when. Hate to put you under the gun for another route & time, Tanq, but you da man. How about Yarnell hill up to Prescott and then over to Jerome or up to Flag via Oak Creek canyon. Either of the next few weekends is good for me. But if it's this weekend, I have to be back in town by 4:30 PM.

I see you're the distributor for the GB on the trunk liners. When you get 'em we can just meet and I can abscond with both the bleeders and the trunk liner. Hey did you see I made it to first gear?

Sounds good to me. The 28th would be better.

I am out of town the weekend of the 28th for an in-law event in NE Arizona. My wife thinks that I should invite you all to come see beautiful downtown Window Rock, AZ, but you guys would be bored to tears. It is kind of a nice drive...4.5hrs...its just hard to tell when you have reached your destination.

My idea is a night drive on the weekend of August 4 -- details to come in the next few days.

Dave,
Are you going to be in Phoenix on Friday, August 3rd?

Dave,

I wanted to do something different from the previous drives -- evening drive starting at 7pm or so, dinner, and a nice, cool drive home. If you were going to be in Phx, it would mean less people doing a long drive home to Flag.

My proposal: a Mt. Lemmon drive in the evening. The traffic is supposed to be terrible on weekends, but the rangers say that it isn't bad at 8pm on a Friday evening. There is even a restaurant at the top, and a couple of nice places on the route, too. Mt. Lemmon is typically 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix, so it should be nice at night.

What's the verdict?
a) Mt. Lemmon Night Drive
b) Yarnell/Prescott/Sedona Day Drive

Mt. Lemmon sounds great to me! I'm flying into Phoenix late Thursday night, so available to head out anytime Friday.

Mt Lemmon is good for me any day that weekend including Friday evening.
