Default This kills me...

So, yeah about 2 weeks ago some moron stole the seats out of my car...

I've been dealing with my insurance company and its a mess. My S2K is a 2002 because of that they're trying to put crappy used seats in my car. I took ridiculous care of my car and the seats looked brand new.

Now because I'm demanding they put my car back the way I left it, they're considering totally the car.

Just frustrated and want to beat the hell out of the guys who are doing this..

really isnt any bluff to be called.. i mean 8k for the seats alone.. if the steering wheel, panels, cluster, push button start (mainly harness) and soft top will run the car around 50-70% of the value of the car..

They're considering totaling your car on account of your stolen seats!?

That's bullsh*t. Usually pestering the bastards until they cooperate works for me, but I'm sure your already doing that.

Well, good luck... Are they putting a value on the seats?

I dont want to ask about your money situation.. but if the car is paid for I say total it out and buy it back. Toss some Recaro seats and such in.

Yeah, the car is pretty much paid for and that's kind of what I was thinking of doing.. the value they're putting on the seats is $6900.00.

I did call the inspectors bluff today because he told me they usually total a vandalism at a lower amount since there's so much salvage on the car and the insurance company will sell it for parts.

I told him I have a guy who will part my car out for me already and if they decide to total it I will end up making a huge profit off of it while the insurance company only saves a couple thousand dollars.

I already do have a guy in California who will part the car out of me and he gets a percentage of it.

It's just annoying some degenerate gets away with seats and we get screwed from both ends.

The irony here is...where did these "used" seats come from? Probably stolen at some point also.
