Default Let's get Low Tech

Okay, I'll admit it.

I may drive like one but I'm no motorhead. That's why my Honda service writer is on speed dial. In fact I'm not even a guy so all your talk of diffusers, "wanting to do a CAI, I have a AEM on hand" and clearing lights, etc. is way beyond me.

Heck, I'd be happy if someone just showed me how to touch up the front spoiler where a couple of curbs ate it or buff out the scuff on my rim without making me feel like a murderer because I actually marred my car (you have to admit there are some real fanatics on the national site). I drive hard but it ain't always pretty, OK? Orange peel and bondo are bad words, but I'm not sure, short of Paige at Astro Body Shop, if anything can be done to improve my little boo boos.

And, please, someone just flat out tell me a great and inexpensive way to improve my stock stereo sound. You guys are so full of options I'm sure I'd be more confused after your counsel than I already am.

We all love our s2000s but some of us are less technically inclined than others. (If I'm the only one please let me know so I can join the Oldsmobile club instead!)

So, how about a Low Tech Day, fellas?

Hey Amok,

We can do that do. I don't plan on doing anything else on the other tech day, and in the past we did more than one thing if people wanted to do it. Last year CEO2B put in new horns while Doc and I installed rear speakers in CEO's car (the best stereo mod you can do - go to lucidautomotive.com) and then I hard wired my radar detector.

Make a list of what you want to do in the tech day thread above. I'll help out where I can and I bet the other who will be doing the more technical stuff can offer even more advice.

I like the fact that tech days can be a multitude of things, we just have to get a date on the calendar first...

Amok,

Every tech day is a 'low tech day' for me! We have fun - whatever's going on. I'm always less technically proficient than the rest of the guys, but I learn a lot, and find my niches. I'm the air horn guy. (And I do radar detectors too.)

I'll put Sunday, April 13th on the calendar. If Jayhawk can't do it. We can use my place. This way S2000AZ can make it too.

I will ask Doc to put an event on the S2000arizona.com website. If you plan to make it please sign up there.

This will be for clearing headlights and whatever else you want to do.

On the signup please put your screen name, where the car goes, please put what you want to do: i.e. clearheadlights, add rear speakers, so I know what manuals or references I need to bring.

Cooool , thanks.

I'll check out the audio improvements if you promise not to make fun of my spoiler.

We can discuss touch up options then. Let me know where.
