Default Meet Update and Poll

After not seeing a line of S2000's buzzing down a highway in a few weeks, I have that urge to get another trip organized.

Future Ideas:
- Dave and I talked, and would like to schedule the Rte. 191/666 drive for September or October. This probably should be an overnighter due to the distances involved.
- Dave is interested in joining the Los Angeles area meet in August. This could be a lot of fun if we could get a group of AZ people to do the run to LA. Check out the Meets forum for details...40 cars were signed up the last time that I checked.

Goals for this month:
- Drive either 6/23 or 6/30
- Partial day drive; the last full S2000 meet was the overnighter to Flagstaff in May, so we should have a shorter drive this month.
- Find some relief from the heat, meaning either an early departure and early return, or a trip to cooler climate.
- Initiate some of our new owners into the Way of the Stook.
- Where are we going?

Here's another idea, the Salt River Canyon (Hwy60, 40-50 miles past Globe):

Looks like an interesting drive, but hot.

Tanq - great ideas!! I would love to join the LA group for a drive. That would be a kick!

We'll watch the poll and hopefully we can be there when a final decission is made. 6/30 is bad for us due to a wedding in Vegas but otherwise we're game!

Chris,

We missed ya this time around. I'm out on the 23rd and the 30th--but would be up for a quickie (drive, that is) next weekend if anyone's up for it.

Perhaps in July we could do an overnighter in Flag--up to the Canyon on Saturday, stay in Flag Saturday night, then back down to the valley on Sunday.

All your drive suggestions look great! Wish I could join you

Dave

The NSX folks are interested in the Coronado trail (rte. 666) drive if that's OK with everyone.

Don't care where we go...haven't been to any of those places so it would be fine with me to go to any of them. Either of the days are fine with me to. Lets go...

Here we go:

Date: 6/23
Time: 9:00am
Meeting Place: Fry's Electronics parking lot, NW corner of I-10 and Baseline Rd.
Destination: Canyon Lake via Hwy60, Hwy88

Details:
It is going to be 113 degrees this weekend, making it a good week for a short trip to the lake. We should be back in time for lunch. Please post if you would like to join us for lunch at Z-Tejas Grill in Chandler and I will make the reservations.

I'll be there with my far better half for our first drive with this illustrious group. Include us for lunch. Sorry for the late notice, but other plans just fell through.

Here is the current attendee list:
Tanq + wife
Mcco + Hawk
Mselland + wife
Rockstar

Lots of regulars are out of town or previously booked. I haven't heard from Cyber Logic, but he posted that he wanted to do this drive. Anyone heard from SCS2K lately? I think it has been 10 or 12 days since he has posted.
