My Dyno Results
Whats going on guys? So i had my car tuned at Dyno Comp just this last week and the results are in. Overall i had a very positive experience with the shop. The whole process took multiple days due to my flex fuel tuning. Richard and the rest of the guys are very professional and kept me posted along the way. They had to do firmware updates on my AEM v2 along with a couple of other grounding issues here and there. Richard took multiple calls and conversations in person without any hesitation/attitude. The cost was a little more than some of the other local shops but this did not bother me that much knowing the end result was a positive one. If any future bugs or issues were to arise regarding the tunes, it would be taken care of at no cost from my end. They are conveniently located right down the street from my work but that aside i would take my business there regardless of distance and am at ease knowing the car was tuned by an experienced tuner who really put time into the tunes. Even got a follow up call today by Richard making sure everything is running fine still making sure I'm good to go.
What was done:
-revised 91 tune
-full E85 tune
-flex fuel tuning so I can switch between both without doing anything
The car:
-2002 AP1 stock motor, tranny, diff
-121k miles with head gasket changed and AP2 intake retainers put in
-SOS Turbo kit with the bigger twin scroll 35r option
-HKS Hi Power 3 inch single exhaust with 3 inch test pipe
The car is fast... scary fast.. (at least for me it is lol). It made just about 425hp and 300FtLB at the wheels. Dyno Comps Mustang dyno is known to read considerably lower than others. On say a dynapack such as UMS' it would probably make around 460. When they did a baseline with the map that UMS had done, it put down 350whp at UMS and 320whp at Dyno Comp with no changes in the 91 map. So i guess you could say 30whp is a considerable difference and was told the more power is involved the bigger the difference. In any case here are the graphs:
Green=UMS 91 tune
Red=Revised 91 tune
Blue= E85 tune
Wheel HP and Torque
Wheel HP and AFR
Wheel HP and Boost
Overall very happy with the results and how everything came out. Car pulls like a freight train! Will be doing some suspension maintenance stuff next and other things that are due on a 13 year old car lol
UPDATE: Went back and had my dyno touched up on with the summer E85 blend (higher ethanol content) and picked up an additional roughly 25whp and 15whtrq. Had a slight tear in one of the vacuum lines which caused me to hit boost cut which was fixed, changed my spark plugs and timing chain tensioner for safe measure. In any case car pulls like crazy again. What amazes me the most is the power made from 4-5k

I can't see the graphs due to work restrictions, but glad to hear you've had a good experience (though time of course will tell!)
I've never heard anything bad about dyno comp other than price. Since i can't access the graphs, can you tell me boost levels on 91 vs e85?
what do you think of the SOS turbo package?

That's awesome Borris. I'm glad to see the car is up and running, hopefully we'll run into each other sometime and I can catch a ride.
