From: Cincinnati, Ohio Soon 2 be AZ!
A few weeks ago I got laid off from my job due to them not having enough money in the budget to keep me on (Acura North Scottsdale). I am coming to you guys because I need some help, some suggestions on where I should look for a job. I have applied and looked everywhere here in Phoenix and have exhausted Craigslist and used Monster.com, but there isnt anything there for part time work. No one is hiring because of the economy and they have just laid off people. I just need some fresh ideas on what I need to do to get a job.
I go to school until 12:45 everyday, so I can only work part time and I can work weekends. I have worked in 3 dealerships in every dept except for finance. I worked at Verizon Wireless before moving out here and I am very knowledgable in commercial real estate. I know a lot about cars and can do your basic maintance, tire rotation, suspension type stuff..and other things too.
So if you guys have any advice or leads..please PM me or respond back in this thread. I really need something asap.
Thanks guys,
Jeff

Given that you have work hour restrictions because of school makes it that much more difficult in a rough economy like this one.
I'm going to guess you already have at least one head hunter helping you look for a job. If not I would recommend getting one. They are not always great but if you are experienced enough with a solid resume they more than likely will get you something.
I would also talk to counselors on Camps for temporary jobs if you have not done so.
What is your major in school ?

Is your degree from OSU? (stop with the stupid question comments, he could just be a fan) You might try an alumni directory. I am sure there are a lot of OSU alumni out here. I wish I had something more concrete for you. Good luck.

Best of luck with your search! Expect it to take some time. People with the best of qualifications are searching for months to find work. Just remember, it likely isn't you, it is the overall economy. Whatever you do don't get discouraged.
