Default Need TCT

So my TCT seems to be quite noisy and am looking at replacing it, would love to do it at the tech day on ICE if at all possible.
Anyone have one for sale or perhaps have the knowledge/ability to do the required sandblasting or whatever it is that it needs? I'm guessing it would be easier to buy one and put it in but cheaper to "fix" the one i have. Am I correct in the assumption?
Any help/leads are greatly appreciated!

Id call up alex and order one of his TCTs, http://www.balladesports.com/ it has upgraded internal mods and the oem is prone to failure due to a design flaw. I had heard mixed reviews about sand blasting so not really sure to the lifespam of if but I would assume alex and billman do similar mods except billman makes it a big secret whatever it is he does to upgrade them while ballade explains it all on his website.

I have one from alex also, haven't had any problems. Billman says ballades and inline pro are over tensioned.

Hmmm. definitely will look into that. I would rather not have to spend too much money but i guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

Does anyone going to the tech day have the equipment necessary to do this?

make sure u have enough oil
oil pressure will affect the noise as well, the unit is oil pressure dependent as well.
ive got an extra one myself (not sure if its the new or 30k one cus they look identical), but ive gone thru the sandblasting process on an old one; which isnt very hard
even taking it apart and stretching the spring can help (cant remember which spring, there are 2 springs inside the unit)

What about the skill to do it? I mean it looks straightforward but I've never done any sandblasting or have any idea how it's done. Would I need to bring anything?
Do you think this would be reasonable to do Saturday?

I'm thinking of doing my oil change before the meet just to make sure fresh oil is in there.

I was thinking you were going to buy a new one. The difficulty of swapping it on a scale of 1-10 is a 1.5

I don't know where you would take it to have it sand blasted.

oh, i see. yeah the swapping isnt what im worried about. i was hoping to just be able to sandblast it as a "first fix" and if it didnt work out then i could just swap it out. someone PM'd me about one they have, i'll look at tht again.
