I just discovered this site and I've already found some interesting topics. I'm not too fond of the internet ( I spend too much time in front of the computer at work) but I have enjoyed the topics posted on this forum. I keep pretty busy but whatever free time I have I try to spend it in my car, are there any other members in the Tucson area? Does anyone have suggestions on one day scenic road trips?

Hi Castles,

Welcome! Click on MEMBERS then do an advanced search and put in Tucson for the city and AZ for the state. There is at least one other Tucson owner I am aware of: DriverWithTheBigGrin. DWTBG went with us on the Biosphere drive last month.

Check out the club website: www.s2000arizona.com for some of the other trips we have taken or will take. In May we are coming down for a Mt Lemmon night run.

castles,

Dawn is down there, too. She did a drive up Mt. Lemmon with us last summer. Mt. Lemmon is a great drive if you do it during off hours (i.e., anytime the tourists are asleep). Fisch is also in Tucson, but he isn't very active these days....he is a great guy if you can find him.

We drive all over the state, so if you are ever interested, you are welcome to join us.

Thanks, for the info. I'll try to log-on at least once a week to get updates. This weekend was great, beautiful weather. My husband and I went on a long car drive to the Chiracuhua Mountains - beautiful ride there from Tucson. Once we got to the National Park we didn't go very far- the road was all torn up due to construction, so we only went as far as the first site. If anyone is interested I'll try to figure out how to attach pictures.

Another Tucson member here... There's actually a thread about 5 threads below this called Tucson members.

As for drives, There's always Kitt Peak, Mt. Graham, Mt. Lemmon, Arivaca, and Alpine. Any of which would take up a good amount of time, and be very fun.
