You should post a pic of it being massive.

I'm running a 100 with 4 Logisys 120mm fans.
Set on Intel i7 2600k @ 5.3ghz 102.2x54 Idle at 25*C full load sustained w/ 4hr of prime95 @ 63*C

This is set on an Asus P8Z68-Pro w/ 16GB Corsair ddr-3 @ 961mhz 8-9-9-25 2t @ 1.68v

Case is a Coolermaster HAF X.

So in summary, I'd go with any of the corsair water cooling products over a huge ass heatsink. I've been there and done that with all sorts of cooling, and for ease of use I really like these self contained ones. They offer plenty of performance for what they cost, and are about the same or slightly worse then these gargantuan coolers, but with the benefit of only taking up 1/3rd or less space. The biggest downside other then the relatively low thermal capacity due to no res (modding a res into this will help!), is the stock loud fans.

Edit: Oh and unless you're doing some overclocking, even the H50-70 is plenty. I've built a few boxes recently ranging from a thuban 6 core to a piddly Core i3 and work just fine with the H70 and 50 respectively. Again, be wary of the stock fans..

I'm a big fan of the Corsair H20 Series as well. What's the voltage @5.3? Truly impressive temps for such a massive OC.

Wish I could afford the new stuff. I'm in x58 land....

I'm at 1.48v

Yeah, I'm actually about to get rid of my old Q6600 setup. Tuniq tower 120, 4gb ram, 4870x2, etc etc..

Edit; my idle temps now seem to be around 30-33, not sure what they are under load, but I'm not seeing anything above 65. I haven't gotten a temp warning yet (75*C). I'd also like to mention that I went through 4 processors from frys before I found one worth a damn.

H20? The h50 is what I know as the base one. I know they made a 60 70 and 80 and now a 100.

The 50 I think was first, simple with a single fan, the 60 I think had a bit bigger pump, the h70 had 2 fans in a push/pull and a bigger pump. The h80 is an upgrade over the h70 and finally they have the h100 which is a dual 120

The h100 is a dual 120.

1t and those latencies? You running them at 1600mhz or something?

h50

h60

h70

h80 (replacement for h70)

h100

Good to know about the Hxx line. I had no idea it grew that much.
Yes I have the H50, not H20. I think that was the first iteration.
Everyone changed the fans to a push/pull setup.

Yes I chose the 1600 with the lowest timings possible.
I don't think the multipliers allowed for a faster speed but I could be mistaken.
The amount voltage variables have gotten out of hand.
At the same time, I've never had luck with bumping up the memory speed.
You're running yours at 1922 then?
I wonder how much perf that gives overall.

Glad to know we have o/c freaks on the forums

The H100 should work fairly well for overclocking, but I don't feel like overclocking at the moment cuz it's so freaking hot The NH-D14 is probably one of (if not the best) air coolers in the market. Before the h100 came out, I believe the Noctua was king of the block.

x58 is still bomb yo. A bit legacy, but still a powerhouse. The good thing about not going to the 2600k is that we will save more money for when LGA2011 comes out.
