Default OEM AP1 Lip

Should I trust this eBay seller for an OEM AP1 optional lip when I get some spare change? It comes unpainted. I wonder about fit.AP1 OEM Lip?

Doesn't have a Honda part #. Not OEM, it is "OE Optional Style."

I got my lip from seller BaysonR. Lots have been happy with his lip. Works for me. Just get some weather stripping to line it.

The big thing to look for with ebay lips is that the seller ships them in a box where the lip doesn't have to be folded up to fit in. That causes it to warp and not fit well. It will still take some work to make it fit well but they can fit decent. It sucks that this is really the only option for ap1 oem lips since so many people want them.

That's what happened with mine. I left it out in the sun during the NY meet 2 years ago, and it mostly regained its shape, but it never fit perfectly. Got mine from BaysonR as well.

Here comes Dick Bag Feezy....

If Mike's lip is a Bryson R lip, I'd steer clear of that guy. It doesn't fit well at all. Maybe it's because it was being bent in the box, but this is Arizona, there is plenty of heat where that lip should have returned to it's original shape by now.

Your best bet is to find a used OEM lip and repaint it, or ask the guy with the Black car to forward you to his bodyshop. (I forget his name, he works at the prison and lives on the East Side, I want to say it's John but I really don't remember.) He has a replica lip that his body shop ordered, painted and fitted. It fits very well.
