Its only a little high. I bought six quarts of Mobile 1 synthetic oil at Pep Boys for $40.22 and Earnhardt charged me $20.73 for the remainder of the oil and filter service. So I paid $60.95. My oil was 10W-30.

FYI they sell Mobile-1 Syn at Costco by the case and it's quite a bit cheaper than anything I've seen around town.

Damn you guys really spend that much for an oil change ITS A FREAKIN HONDA!!! I just go to walmart get my 5 Quart jug for about $25.00 then over to honda to get the filter for about $7 and back to the garage for an oil change. I dont see any reason to pay that much for something so simple.

What's the recommended oil change interval by Honda?

I usually run dino in my cars for 5k miles or syn for 8k. Every 3k is just mktg propaganda to sell more oil & service IMO.

In my experiance any thing generic resold by an auto dealership is markedup 50% to 100% over a discount house pruchase. So Earnhardt is not different here from other dealerships.

You got a fair price. Next time bring your own oil.

BTW you can got 5k miles on full syn.
