Thumbs up Oil noob.

So, I went to Honda to get an oil change, and they used oil conditioner...

What is that...?

Also, my screen still says 15% oil life, do I reset that myself or did I get shafted by a dealership? Again.

What dealership did you go to? The conditioner is just a synthetic oil additive they use. They are supposed to reset the maint minder. It takes 2 seconds to do if you want to do it yourself.

My favorite is the "Paint sealer" for $1200 that has to "maintained" every six months...

My buddy got his money out of that paint sealer. It was like $600 and 2 years later the paint starting cracking. They warrantied it and he ended up getting his whole front end repainted.

What dealership did you go to so we can avoid it. I'm pretty sure your owner's manual specifically says that Honda does not recommend oil additives. It also tells you how to reset your maintenance minder so you can finish the job. I would also check to make sure all your fluids are full, caps are on, etc. Who knows what else they forgot to do. I would also guess that they used the wrong viscosity.

I bought my Odyssey at Showcase Honda. They had the oil filled about a mile past the full mark and my entire engine was slathered in oil. I stopped by Earnhardt's on my way home and they gave me a free steam clean.

On the AP1 you reset the maintenance minder by holding the lower right button in the gauge cluster while turning the ignition on, then hold it for a few secs afterward. Yours sounds a bit different, so not sure if that will work on yours too. I'm sure it's posted somewhere in this vast library of forums...
