Super bored today. The year is winding down and so is the work load. I had some time recently to reflect on the year I had and start looking forward to 2013. I remembered I created this thread and decided to go have a look at my goals for 2012 and see if I met all of them.


Intake, Exhaust, Tune - CHECK (no header but I did get a TP)
Bought lots of stuff all year - CHECK
New Tires - CHECK
3 track days - CHECK
Bought 2000 Jeep - CHECK

It would appear that I did manage to meet and exceed all my goals. How did everyone else do?

Break 500whp mark check
Find LFA/Race LFA/Beat LFA never found one
Catch kids on fire as I drive through school zones innocent until proven guilty
See how many hookers I can fit in passenger seat 3
See how many dead hookers fit in trunk 4 but I dont recall where the 4th came from
Clean trunk still waiting for feezy
Try and reverse earths rotation to stop time still have a couple weeks to complete
Break diff trying to reverse earths rotation. Surprsingly hasnt broken yet
Upgrade to ford 8.8 rear end. see above

Plans for 2013- Top Secret

 

I stuck to the basics of making a S2000 handle well at AutoXs and that’s about it, suspension, wheels and tires. Took another EVO drivers school. Won some Solo autoXs in my class and captured a fall series 1st place trophy that really doesn’t mean anything but it’s nice to say I won something. Because I loath my job and might encounter some moving costs, I’ve been apprehensive at spending on my car.

2013 will include getting on the road courses. I was going to go to AMP last weekend but yeah .. . Still need to install my sparco steering wheel but first need to get the right hub to mate it up.. .

2013:
New autoX tires
Maybe new DD rims and tires
Mount steering wheel
mount my ingalls stiffy
install the mishimoto radiator sitting in my garage - use Evans coolant
buy and Mount a new seat – probably Sparco EVO II
Defile a set of XP10/XP8 pads and new rotors on some road courses
Brake ducts if I fade too much
Exhaust of sorts
Flashpro
Tune
new catch can setup
maybe a baffled oil pan
oil pressure and temp sensors and gauge
Custom made 3.5” intake with box

A bit aggressive but that's the list of needs and 99% want

Wishful thinking puts a hardtop, CR wing and 17x10s on my wish list.
On another note, I should have just bought a built racecar lol!

I didn't really get to post on this thread because my only plan was to purchase an S in 2012. Everything else kinda just happened the more time I spent on this site.

AP2V1's and tires - Ventus V12's
new soft top - EZon
cooling plate, battery cover and BMC cover - GP Fab
Replace all oil based fluids with Amsoil Products

Mods for 2013. Undecided yet.

 

Even though I bought my S early/mid '11, I didn't join the community until early this year, so I missed all the fun list making. The car was stock until this year, though. Same as Tom, once you get into the group, it's pretty hard to resist customizing.

Stereo System - Pioneer deck/ Kicker door speakers/ 10in Clarion sub
Intake - Password: JDM carbon intake w/ cooling plate
Exhaust - ASM single 70mm w/ Invidia 70mm TP
Suspension - KW V3 Coilovers

Valve adjustment at ~125k + compression test (for S&G's) and (almost) all work done on car thanks to BAWSS and ENJOY!
Started stocking up on car-care products, including buying a couple orbitals.

Not sure what Id throw on a realistic list for 2013. Probably will include:

Some Track days/ Autocross
Computer system/ Tune
Wheels/ Tires
Hardtop
Header

 

I can cross Flashpro off my list now.
