Default Possible Relocation to AZ

Hi All - I'm contemplating on relocating to a new hospital locatated at Gilbert. I wanted to know what the area is like, and where the new and nice/safe communities are.

Thanks,
Mike

Paradise Valley (Million dollar + homes) , North Scottsdale, Scottsdale, Ahwatukee, parts of Chandler, and Gilbert are all nice/safe places.

Your choice depends on how much you want to spend. Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, and Ahwatukee are expensive places to live. Gibert and Chandler are less expensive because they more rural.

There are plenty of million dollar homes in Gilbert. Are you going to be working at Banner Gateway? There are a ton of nice areas around that hospital, new and existing developments.

I believe Gateway is the hospital. Another issue is that my wife is looking for a position that is equivilant to hers in the biotech field.

What a coincidence.

I'm also looking for a possible relocation to the Phoenix area. My typical employers are DoD firms.

What areas (cities) should I be looking at? What are housing prices like there now?

Million-dollar homes are out of the question, but 2000 sq.ft homes in a nice area will suffice. How are the school districts?

Well I'm not looking to spend a Million dollars on a home just yet. Besides, when I was looking I found some nice size homes for for a LOT less than Bay area and San Diego prices.

How's is the car meet scene and are there a few track going s2's? I've been fortunate to live were there are weekly meets and there are quite a number of us that track our cars.

I live around that area and work arund that area. You will love Gilbert man. Its chill. One of the other members is moving into Gilbert because he liked it. We are looking frwd to seeing you and your ride around.

Also from what I understood Gilbert has one of the better school systems around AZ. Just remmember that it's no where near Massachusetts/ New England schooling tho. As stated above the realstate around here can go from 150k to 1mill houses, really depends where you end up.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks EOE for your response, I'm currently looking in that area. I'm really amazed at the size of homes you can get for the price.

If I get the position, my wife will need to find something as well. Unfortunately there isn't a large offering in the biotech field for her. If anything we'll probably look into opening up a buisness. Who knows...

I'm planning on making a trip out there this weekend. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Mike
