Just curious, what places anyone has used for powder coating wheels.

I had one Wheel refinished at Alloy Wheel Repair and may just go back there, but I have called a few other places and got cheaper quotes.

Sometimes you get what you pay for so I'd rather pay more if it means better quality.

I have had a couple sets of wheels powder coated at Gorilla Industriual Coating in Tempe. (480) 377-8000

$40-$60 / wheel (including strip and prep)

 

If I remember correctly, I think mugen kid works for a wheel repair place.

 

I would like to get my AP1 wheels powdercoated as well, but the cheapest quote I have gotten is $50 :-/

Also, do you know if they will get off any curb rash before powder coating or do they just coat over whatever is there.

What I'm thinking is I don't necessarily a perfect second set if whatever place I take it to clears away the rash before coating.

 

they can do that for you, they would prolly just smooth it down, nice and easy, but you would still notice only if you knewq where it was.
