What made AZ Fun in the Sun????

The people (lots of work) and the car!

We had good stuff:
- a custom built one of a kind best of show trophy
- all kinds of sponsor freebies for raffle goodies
- the dealership provided the t-shirts and BBQ all FOC
- website for folks to signup, give shirt sizes and +1's
- lots o help from Back-cracker (waiver forms, raffle stuff, advice, etc)
- groovy sound system
- large screen TV with video game (I forget which ones) :-)
- nice drive about
- meet & greet
- Sun bye-bye brunch/drive

We had bad stuff:
- on the morning of the meet the dealer kicked us into a smaller parking lot
- t-shirts were delivered the mroning of the meet (literally last minute!)
- Ivan's speeding ticket

LOL!

I'm still up for helping out with website, forms, payments, tshirt design, graphics, dj'ing, gran turismo 5

The website is still up (azs2k.com) and we can probably reuse most of it.

16th should work. I would be down for Cody's, but we need to do the food differently this year. I really did not like meeting at Costco and taking and hour or two to get all our stuff together then heading to Cody's. Perhaps Cody, if willing could buy a bunch of stuff, and he could collect money at the door. Or we all paypal him money before hand. I would have had a slightly better time if we went straight there, ate, hung out, then continued the drive North. Just my thoughts.

I am def down for helping plan the big meet, as is Jenn. She is good at this kind of stuff.

We need the COs to break out the April Prescott run into a seperate thread, then we can continue discussing the big Fall meet in this thread.

I wouldn't mind having another get together here. Definately plenty of room, and have the lift and tools here if anyone wants to wrench on stuff in the shop garage.

I've picked up a full size stand up freezer since then, so I could load up on burgers or chicken or whatever BBQ food, drinks, chips, etc ahead of time - and I can move the grill or set something up to block the wind that kept trying and succeeding to blow the grill flames out.

If people are down for video games, gran turismo, Black Ops, whatever - I can set up my 62" TV, PS3, and a couch in a corner of the shop garage as well. (Someone would just have to bring GT5, I've never bought it yet...lol)

(if a new Prescott thread is made, I'll just copy and paste this there too).
