Default Question on Camber

Ok, so I have an Ap1 lowered on Tein S-techs, and they have been on there for about 2-3 years, can't remember exactly how old they are (at least 30k miles I would say). They have settled quite a bit, but my stock suspension parts are sill in good working order, the ride is fine etc. I have had the car aligned at least 3 times since it's been lowered, never with any problems. I have the 'after' sheets and they were always within a tenth or so degree from perfect. I took it in to get it aligned today because I just replaced all 4 tires and noticed a lot of wear on the inner edges of the old tires...

Apparently my stock camber adjustment is maxed out, and cannot be adjusted anymore, so if I leave it I am just going to end up chewing up my new tires. My question is - should I get a camber kit? Should I get new springs so they won't be settled as much? Sorry, but full coils are out of my price range and I don't track the car, so I really don't need them; it's just my daily. And although I have my stock springs, going back to fully 4WD is just not an option, lol

Thoughts? Opinions? Should I get new Springs because they won't be as 'settled'? Is a camber kit going to really fix my woes, and if so, which one should I get?

Here is a recent pic of my car, as you can see, I am really not low at all...

Camber doesnt cause as much wear as alignment shops like us to believe. It is incorrect toe that eats tires.

Well, he showed me my toe numbers, and they really weren't bad at all. A little out, but nothing super abnormal...

Toe and incorrect tire pressure will cause more tire wear than camber.

I used to run -2.5 and -3.2 camber F/R and my tires wore just about perfectly even.

Get in the habit of checking pressures at least every other week.

Both my front and rears are -2.9, Tires were just mounted a few days ago, pressure is spot on, and I regularly checked my old tires as well.

That is a lot of negative camber for DD use... If you are just driving up and down the highway with -2.9, I could see you having uneven wear. When I run that much negative camber, I am doing a lot of cornering, or some track driving.

Why aren't you running closer to stock camber? I would take your car back and get either the UK or CR alignment specs. Both are perfect and feel great for just street use!

That is exacty the reason for this thread... I do NOT want this much negative camber as it is a daily driver. My question is what steps do I need to take to resolve this. In the past my car was always adjustable close to the original US specs, however now it seems my adjustments are as far as factory will allow to correct it and it's still out... Therein lies my problem...

Is this the same shop you always go to? Does not sound right to me.

I would say, take the car to another shop and get a second opinion before buying parts. Actually, call SOS and ask for their advise since they specialize in the S2000 and do alignments. Perhaps they have seen this issue before and can advise you. Sorry I can't help.

It doesn't seem your car is that low or using some odd wheel configuration.

Maybe go to SOS and have Wade take a look at it.

If you get under the car, you could probably tell what's going on with the adjustment bolts.
Unless there was some major accident, it should have plenty of adjustment room.
