Default Question on Stereo

Can anyone here recommend a good place to get an Aftermarket CD Player and speakers installed that will not "mess" up the car

I have used Unique Car Audio in the past so Maybe I will go there but would like to hear others recommendations first.

Thanks,

It is my experience that unless you are willing to pay alot most installers won't do a great job on the install .....

I do it myself with the help of a friend or 2 and a 12 pack of beer....

If your just replacing the deck and speakers, it's actually pretty easy. The OEM deck comes out in about 10 seconds no joke. As far as speakers, just be carefull about the depth of the speaker you choose.

I put in an Alpine that I bought from Best Buy. Best buy also had a wiring harness which made the job totally easy. All I had to do was splice the wires from the harness to the deck wires and plug it all back together.
Do the work yourself. It is easy and you'll know that you took the extra measure to do the job to your satisfaction. DOIT

It's easy enough to cut the back of the plastic basket in the door panel out to accomodate a deeper/bigger magnet than the OEMs. Just don't try to put a ghetto 12" setup in your doors or something crazy like that.

... I was just thinking ... which is rare ...
I suppose that if you live in an apartment, that it would be a bit tougher to install the stereo. You may want to ask around for someone to help with the garage space and install. Lots of us have our own garages and I'd say that most all are great work spaces.

I did most of my install indoors or sitting in the car. Just need room to pull the door panels off. If it can wait until July, we will (hopefully) be having a Tech Day in the cool pines.

If you can't wait, go bug Curt. He has nothing to do all day anyway

funny
I'm employed now and am busier than hell.
However, the Buckner Garage does have a few openings on select Saturdays and Sundays.
BTW, I indeed installed car audio professionally for a couple of years.
