Default Rear end blown perhaps?

I was driving yesterday and I heard terrible grinding sounds at all speeds from the rear of the car.

I have a feeling it is the differential, but what is the best way to diagnose it. From what I've read; diff, axles, wheel bearings, transmission, and the drive shaft are all suspectable points.

I'm going to drain the diff later today and see if there are metal chunks in it. Any other advise? Anyone have a spare AP1 diff I could buy if that happens to be the problem?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Can you explain the noise better? Might as well drain the diff and see what falls outs, it's the quickest way to check the for the obvious.

i guess you can say it sounds like marbles consistently swirling in there. I'll try and take a video.

Anybody have experience with buying used diff vs rebuilt? (price? Longevity?, etc.)

heres a video. You can hear the sound near the end of the video the best. Kinda sounds like liquid and metal swishing around in there.

What did the fluid end up looking like, were there chunks? My speakers aren't very good so the vids didn't do me any good. When the car was up in the air, did you try shaking that wheel to see if maybe it was a wheel bearing? Also, maybe a seized caliper?
