Thumbs up Refinance s2k help

hi everyone,

I have not been on s2ki in forever since i have been stationed at Lackland AFB, TX. I have been debating on trading my car in for my wife's new car next week, but i think i can not part with my s2k. I have only put 2900 miles on it in 15 months and it has not been driven since Feb.

Im looking to refinance my car so that i have a lower interest rate and a lower payment. These cars are not practical when being married and me having my high $528 a month car payment with the car in storage. So i figured i would put $3k down and refinance the car.

I need some advice on where to go and what to do? has anyone else on here done refinancing on their s2k or another vehicle ? that could give me some helpful advice.

Anything to do to lower payments and interest rate so that i could keep her and build here soon enough

thank you everyone for looking and thank you too those who help me out.

Try a credit union, they typically have good rates. I think mine is advertising rates on auto loans under 5% right now.

I have been casually looking for a LBP, so if you decide to part with it please let me know.

Try USAA. I've had AMAZING rates with them from insurance to banking.
The interest rate I had with them on my S was 5.9%.
They do it all and are strictly for military(Active, Reserve, Retired) and their family.

I'd say either USAA or have you tried the Armed Forces Bank?

I am not military, but I hold a DOD clearance, and am heading to Luke AFB tomorrow for my CAC card. I wonder if that counts for USAA.

USAA! You sould have no issue with that. If not, your next bet would be a credit union. I work at one and we have some really awesome rates going on right now for refi's. Shoot me a pm if USAA doesnt work out for you. Good luck!

Capital One if you can't get in with USAA
