Thumbs up Required Maintenance?

ok so when i turn on my car now the required main light flashes on and off....im not sure what it means or whats wrong...

the car runs perfect and does'nt over heat. Does it do this when S2k's need new oil change, cause im thinking thats what it might be but not sure....

i also installed an oil catch can and took out my cruise control a week ago so maybe its the oil catch can.....not sure

can someone help...would it be oil catch can or oil change?????

read the manual...it'll tell you how to reset....n if you don't have a manual, have you checked in the secret compartment?

I'm pretty sure on the older cars it's just a mileage countdown, nothing smart about it. Basically it's just a way to sucker you into going to the dealer for an oil change instead of doing it yourself since some people will not open their manual to learn how to reset the light. I think starting with MY 2006 the indicator actually factors in some other criteria making it somewhat smart, but that's still debatable.
