Congratulations to SoS for becoming an official sponsor of the S2ki.com website... Thumbs up to local company that will provide excellent customer service to the s2k enthusiasts.

Didn't they use to be a site sponsor at one time? I could of sworn they were. Either way, glad to have them back if they are once again.

You cannot advertise for a site sponsor, you must remove the SOS logo. Only the paying sponsor can advertise according to s2k rules as the reason mine was removed.

You are correct. Please remove the sig advertisement. Chris can have one since he is the sponsor, but regular members cannot advertise for any sponsor or non-sponsor.

Once again, not my rules, but please comply.

O.K. So I will explain it one more time:

As quoted from CThree
"If your signature contains commercial content (banners, links to commercial sites, logos, etc.) it will be removed without notice or ceremony. If you continue to post commercial messages we will suspend or delete your account.

Your signature and avatar images are considered part of your posts. The same rules apply to them as to the post content. Commercial posting is STRICTLY forbidden and this policy will be STRICTLY enforced. If in doubt please contact info@s2ki.com or a moderator and ask BEFORE posting. If you want to post a commercial message please contact sales@s2ki.com and we will happily send you information about sponsorship."

This counts for anyone that is not a sponsor on the site. If they are sponsors they can advertise themselves (however there are stipulations on this as well - you must be a SITE sponsor not a LOCAL sponsor), and others cannot advertise for them. If you see a sig that does have commercial content, it is in violation of forum rules and should be either reported, or delt with by the moderator of that forum.

I'm just doing the job, I don't personally care a tiny bit.

CThree has to make money somewhere. I don't know how that Rijo guy seems to get around the rules.

Nobody has probably noticed it. If you see a violation you can report it to any mod, site mod or admin and it will be dealt with accordingly.

Is there any regulations that have been adopted that provide for a variance of the regulation cited above? If not, then maybe the board could adddress this lack of recourse and either amend or adopt new provisions that would allow such activity to occur on a case by case basis after formally approving a company's request based on its meeting certain conditions set forth in the variance procedure portion of the clubs rules and regulations.

Personally, there are several companies that are violating the foreging prohibition and this is likely to occur forever. It is inherent in human nature and especially in running businesses to discover and take advantage of methods (inlduding an awareness of a lack of enforcement) to circumvent existing laws and regulations. I believe adoption of a variance process for alllowing local companies to place the type of informaton that SOS recently posted is essential to establish a level of fairness and which in the long term will be just as beneficial for the local company as it would be for us.

Having stated my view, I would also point out that I am only a two or three month member and therefore unaware of any of the formal rules governing the running of this site. I am not attempting to encourage an action that has already been reviewed years ago and left in place for a purpose. But time change and so do the ownerhsips of businesses that are unable to properly market to the select clientele that it serves.

Best regards, Mark
