So the tires fit different size rims and because the overall diameter is different you are going to have issues with the speedometer. Why would you choose this size? What's the real story here because it doesn't make sense.

He is comparing his old tire to the new one. The old one was way off in diameter if you are using that for a reference. This new size isn't too bad as far as diameter but now there is a width problem. Minimum wheel size recommended is 10.5". Even you manage to pinch those on a 9.5" wheel they are going to stick out way past the fender. On top of that, it's going to understeer like a Camry unless you run a 255 or 265 front tire. I'd seriously reconsider that tire size, just my 2 cents.

My speedo is off by about 5 mph...doing 65, speedo says 60 with the old 245/45.

With the new tires, the diameter is almost the same, speedo is off by 0.5mph, so not even noticeable.

I figure these will be decent training wheels until I can find my 395 tires.

This link is the 385s....but apparently a 395 exists.

And yes, I plan to widen the rear of the car soon....

Oh, and 255 fronts? No way. 285 fronts.

Im eventually going to have 11" wide fronts..probably 15" wide rear rims.

Lots of people told me I couldn't ever run 39" wheels on my Lexus too...

I think Cody will make them work but if by chance it does not work out, he can use them as drift tires for his CTS-V.
