Slashed Top :(
Well, add me to the slashed top club. Some idiot cut a 16" by 10" in my top the other night. I heard my alarm go off and was out there within 30 seconds. They were already gone and hadent taken anything. What a ****ing retard... did he think my alarm led was fake or something? I mean, if an alarm is gonna scare you away then why the hell would you even try? So pointless. Worst part is, I am 1 week away from moving into my new (garaged) apartment....
Oh and I have $1000 deductible at the moment, so I probably wont get shit. It was an 8 year old top but was in pretty decent shape, sure as hell wasn't planning on replacing it any time soon.
First of all, what do you guys recommend as a temporary fix? Until I can get it replaced. Also there was someone that responded to me in the "goodbye s2000" thread about a hardtop they had for sell. The post was removed, im guessing because he was not a member and was trying to sell something. If anyone can tell me who that was, I would appreciate it. I understand you are tryin to "protect" us but in a local buy there shouldn't be a need for your protection.

You have a $1000 deductible on comprehensive or collision or both ?
That cut should be considered Comprehensive as opposed to collision. Carrying zero comprehensive or lower than $1000 is not that uncommon. Its the collision that many people have set at $500 or higher.

There are companies that make vinyl repair kits but given the size of your slash no kit is going to fix your problem. Your best bet is to take it to an upholstery shop and see if they can repair it. Its either that or claim it under insurance if you can afford the deductable
Several members have had small tears fixed at Verdone in Scottsdale with good results. I'm not sure if they can help in your situation but if not I'm sure they can recommend something.
At least you saved your seats.
