There is a Solo event on Sunday, April 8th at Firebird Raceway Skidpad #4.

Gates open at 6:30am
Tech and registration 7:30-9:30
Drivers meeting 8:30
First car out 8:45

I'll be there with my S2K hope to see some of you.

 

From Tucson go to the Maricopa Road exit heading west. Got to entrance 3 for Firebird Raceway (past the grandstands) and turn left. The Skidpad is on the right just past the toll booth looking things.

 

I'm planning on driving but only on street tires so traction will be an issue.

 

Practice is not allowed. You usually get 3-4 runs and only walking is allowed before you race. You are not even allowed to ride with someone else before you race.

 

I'm probably not running tomorrow but will stop to watch for a while.

 

I didn't get there until almost 12. If you want to run the roadcourse it will be open this weekend. Cost is $125 through NASA (not the space program) and you get 4 one half hour sessions. I've done it a couple of times and will likely be a spectator this Saturday. Several friends of mine will be running their NSXs.

I'll be there Saturday morning. I'm getting an alignment done at 9 am and will head over afterwards. I'll either have a silver S2K or a black NSX. I'll keep my eyes open for you.
