Stepping Down as Organizer
Is there a job description for the CO position? I think, like myself, some people may pursue this if they had some understanding of the duties and responsibilities of the job.
Personally, I am willing to put in my share of time and effort as much as I am able. My schedule, or lack thereof, greatly limits my ability to make time commitments. My free time normally comes in the wee hours of the night as evidenced by my typically stupid posts.
I will give this a trial run if no one else is willing to. I would like to see the AZ forum stay and I think we are being unfair to Jordan by not taking the baton after all this time. Obviously he needs some time to go pants shopping. Oh snap!

Here's the situation:
- you organize events however you deem appropriate (your choice or a group concensus) - you can come up with your own routes, your own stops, the dates of the events, the type of events...if you delegate an event or task you manage the person you delegated the task to so it gets done.
-you manage the event, lead the way, answer questions, provide information to those attending, etc...
-you monitor S2ki.com and manage the Arizona forum per the S2ki.com guidelines and the CO
It is not a full time job - it is only a few hours a month at MOST. It was consuming time the week prior to the event; however, several policies were implemented (which you don't have to keep) that mitigated the time - they are the sign up on S2000arizona.com and the deadline to sign up for an event (since last year). This keeps those who will try to make their time more important than your time more frustrated than they can make you
Also, if you've been on drives, you probably have my emails with all of the drive information on them OR at least know some routes we've taken. If you look at local.live.com you can see the roads in Arizona and make your own maps to locations we've never been.
Doc said he would continue to run S2000arizona.com, with some changes in the timeframe of when he does things.
I'm not leaving, I'll help the transition, but it's been four years and there must be a transition.

Jordan,
With Wil and JJ acting as co-COs for a good portion of this year, I guess I always assumed you were grooming one of them for CO.
As much as I'd like to see someone new take the helm, I'd also like to see one of the experienced guys stick close if not take the job.
Perhaps I can offer to co-chair the group with Lee? I'm in the same boat with travel, but maybe the two of us working together at full capacity would equal one normal man.

Zonie - thanks, that's an option. It is up to you all.
Boofster - thanks for the offer, the website and club database is already taken care of and working well as-is. No need for a redesign.
