suspension
I was wonder what every1 is running as far as suspension... I like the handling on my car as it is... i heard many people say there isnt much more that can be done to make it even better.. any inputs would be awesome.. if you can list what type of suspension and price that would be great also pictures would be awesome if you can.. not sure if i should just get coilovers or springs and strut.. the car wont see much track time, but i do want it to handle well
I am thinking about going with these coilovers

most likely going with the buddy.. i havent heard much on either coilover company.. i know in the drifting world the d2 doesnt hold up as well..
thank you

Don't know much about the two setups you linked.
I think we should start with what you want to do with your S.
It appears that you would be mainly street with a few cameos on the track.
I had a setup that I was very pleased with for the street / track. H&R springs lowered the ride about an inch and helped eliminate a lot of dive and roll on the track. On the street, I really couldn't tell the difference in stiffness for normal driving. The ride was very comfortable.
Just recently, I threw on a set of KW Variant 3s specifically for the track. The track performance with the KWs is outstanding, but the street driving is rather miserable. Very harsh street ride. (My S is no longer my daily driver so this is not a big factor.) My S is sitting about as low as it can go and that too is a street hassle.
So, perhaps H&R springs with Koni yellows would be a good combo for you.
That's my 2-cents worth of experience.

how harsh is the ride on the street?? will you be at the track for the next nasa or cra event?? hehe i use to drive a 12point roll cage fully gutted car as a daily driver with stiff suspension.. so maybe i can handle it..
pretty much i like you said some track use but mainly street..

^ My S's KW track suspension is harsher than I would like for a daily driver. I still enjoy driving the S on weekends, but the ride is so harsh that I feel waddle fat in my chin shake. But the track performance is top-notch. I suppose that I could soften the dampening for the street... but I haven't tried that yet.
For the Street / Track combo, the HRs coils worked extremely well.

shit rgoer.. you shouul d ahve bought Jihans Aragotas.. by far the best suspension (besides motons) i have felt...
that shit was glued to the road.... with 14kg and 12kg in the rear that shit was stiff....

I just bought T1R from AJ racing. I haven't got 'em yet, but I'm hoping for a good stiff street setup. I had Buddy Club RS before and they were ok..... I'm pretty sure the rears were leaking cuz the roads in Mich are not for slammed rides. Also, they were supposed to come with upper mounts, but mine didn't.

Those KW Variant 3 you have are nice. I was looking at the specs for them, but thats way more then what I want to spend especially since it won't be an all purpose track car. I think the koni yellow and hr would be a good setup for me. What do those usually run?

HR springs are a little over 200 new and the Koni's... I'm not sure... 800 new?
Yeah, them KW's are spectacular.
I was sportin' wood all around Pahrump's track. My S is deliciously setup for the track. Also note that I did have a bit more caster and camber dialed in for the alignment. My shit doesn't break out at all. It doesn't snap like the stock suspension.
Before the KWs and agressive alignment, my S would oversteer a lot easier. Now, it doesn't oversteer so much at all... instead, it slide-steps and gives me a bit of time to correct. Now, I want wider tires.
But for the street, I'd stick with the HR and Koni's because the spring rate of the HRs is nice for daily driving on our shitty streets and the Koni's can have an adjustable spring seat installed to adjust ride height for show.
My S is about as low as it can go and I would not suggest it for the street rides - but it is killer on the track.
I only let Mervin and Ryan pull away from me because I was being cautious. (Believe that!)
If you guys get a chance to get on the track with Mervin and Ryan, it will be a thrill. Those boys know how to drive!
