tech training
Ok, so i have been mulling around pursuing a career in the automotive industry. Kind of like turning a habit into a job. I have talked to UTI, thinking of that. But is there any other tech schools around? They dont have a honda program at UTI.
Cesar: How do you become a honda tech?
Joe: What do you do at SoS? Where do those guys get training?
FYI I have been a personal trainer for almost 10 years, and it is getting stale. Plus, the income is so up and down depending on the time of year. I would probably still do some PT on the side, but have found myself more interested in cars the past couple years.

I kind of fell into into it.
I did go to UTI. You have to start by getting the associates degree in automotive.
I took automotive/diesel and industrial course.
Worked on diesel's for a while, hated my boss, so I quite.
Cut cars in half for a while for an auto broker, they were shady so I quite.
I ended up at honda working on all makes olds, chevy, honda, volkswagon.
Then earnhardts bought the dealership, I had mainly been working on honda's for a couple years then.
I stayed with honda when the company split, just lucky I guess.
I am the kid who grew up around Hot Rods (Thanks to my dad, God Bless him).
I never thought I would ever own a 4 cylinder vehicle.
I found this girl (my wife). She needed a nice car. So I spoiled her with a '93 SE accord. (she has been spoiled ever since).
I think honda is one of the best vehicle's you can buy. I did not realize it until I owned one.
All I can say is I never stayed working at a job I didn't like.

Kinetica, there is only 1 mechanic that handles all the work here. Quality over Quantity. He is certainly one of the best mechanics fro NSX or S2000's out here on the west coast.
Like Ceasr he worked all over including LandSpeed Racing as well as Superior Racing development as well as jiffy lube
All I can say is if I wanted an overall clean and **fast** Daily driver Hatch or civic or integra coupe I would give him the car and tell him to go at it. He wont put the most expensive parts in there but he'll use quality parts and parts that are worth it.
and no you cant have my job
