Default Thicker Oil for SC

Hi im going to install the VTSC later in the week and possibly change the oil with it. Should I get some thicker oil because of FI? since the charger is a self-lub system and doesn't cause as much heat as a turbo, I want to keep the 10w30 m1 I have been using. Any concerns for that?

I run Amsoil 10w30 and would recommend it, Redline is also good. Personally I'm not much of a Mobil 1 fan anymore, seems to burn off more than other oil that I've used.

You should be able to do 1/2 the install in your living room if you bought a new kit. Assemble the blower and all the brackets where it's nice and clean. What are you using for the oil return?

If it has it's own oil, why even discuss the motor oil?

I thought the oil on the VTSC was self contained in the blower unit itself.
