Default Time for a Clean Up

Alright, so as much as I appreciate having 32 threads about Lee and Joe's gayness, I was thinking about a little early Spring cleaning on the boards. Here's what I'd like to do:

Consolidate all the heavily repetitive/common-type threads into a few threads, much as Walkabt did with the area sightings thread. For example:

1. New AZ Owners
1. New to the Area/Moving to the Area
2. Local FS/WTB

etc. If a new thread is created for one of these, I'll move it into the main threads. It's just a little frustrating to have a topic rushed to the bottom of the list because 5 new members wanted to say hi or 14 people are moving from Boston after the bomb scare.

First off, any strenuous objections?
Second, any suggestions for "perma-thread" topics?

Thx,
Z

Why go through the trouble, it's not like this forum gets that many new topics a day. Last time I checked the communities weren't getting charged for usage, so leave it alone. If someone wants to introduce themselves let them, it's kind of silly and unfriendly to say hey "Nice to meet you, now post in the correct thread."

One thread for all local FS/WTB would be annoying to read through to see what is actually still for sale. Imagine reading 20+pages just to find a used part.

It's your world Z, we just live in it.

BTW, I like the way it is now.

Alright, just a thought. Thanks for the input! I'll leave it alone.
