Default Took on a 1994 Chevy Silverado!

Hey, any of you guys have any experience with a Gerber Collision? Was in a head on collision with a Chevy silverado this recent Saturday in Gilbert. The car BETTER be totaled! So anyone with some experience with them? They're in Mesa somewhere on Broadway. Both airbags deployed, the whole front end (especially driver side) is gone. I guess I'm OK, still recovering. Thanks for the info.

Can I ask where in Gilbert this took place? Do you have any pictures?

I do not have experience with any collision shops. However, people highly recommend Elite Collision south of Elliot Rd on Priest Dr in Tempe.

Glad you are all right. You can always get another car.

Thank guys. No pics, I was hauled off in the ambulance the second it got there. It was at Greenfield & Chandler Heights. Other party's insurance better be active and FULL COVERAGE. I better get another S out of this...the pain I am having now on top of losing my S better be enough to get me another one and extra for my wheels! I am bitter if you can't tell. Anyways, thanks for the info. I will try to research more on Gerber and if needed, change to elite collision. Thanks for the info!

Glad you are ok.

If you have a MY2000, most likely it will be totalled. I don't know what it is in AZ but back in NY the damages have to equal to around 75% of book value of the car. If they fight over the value tell them to add up everything, any little part to get to the value needed.

Glad you are ok!

I'd like to see pics if you get a chance. Also keep us informed on the buy back cost if/when it totals

Not to change the topic but I was almost rear ended by some idiot in a silver Nissan Titan today (Yep, it would have hurt). Guy must have thought it was funny to tailgate me in his massive pickup truck with "bling bling" wheels. Well, the traffic in front of me stopped far back from a red light and the idiot tailgating me didn't brake right away (I was looking at him in my mirror the whole time). Needless to say I ended up in the center turn lane.

People driving pickup trucks and large SUVs are the biggest idiots on the road. They think just because they are driving a massive vehicle they can bully people around. I am just waiting for the day when some idiot tailgates me while I am driving the S2k and tries to stop in the same distance.

Were you rear ended?

Glad you are ok enough to post.

I know Gobrns couldn't even do that for some time after her accident - she is still recovering.

David,

Agree on the big SUV drivers lately, they tailgate me in my SUV... I sit back four or five car lengths from the car in front of me any more and move out of the way...

Also, if he were rearended he got pushed into a concrete barrier. He mentions both air bags went off and the whole front and driver's side front is bashed.
