There's 3, count 'em 3 track events this weekend:

ProAutoSports (PAS) is running the East track at Firebird, Friday thru Sunday. www.proautosports.com

NASA is at the new Arizona Motorsports Park (AMP) Saturday and Sunday. http://www.nasa-az.org/nasa/index.htm

The monthly SCCA autocross is at AMP on Sunday. http://www.azsolo2.com/

I think I'll try AMP with NASA on Saturday. I'm not a NASA member yet, but what the heck, AMP is only a few miles from my house, and I've just got to tell my buddies, "yeah I had some high performance driver education there."

I posted this before, but I think bears repeating: IMO, you get a lot more for your money at the PAS events. The annual membership dues for PAS are $40. If you're already an experienced track driver and a PAS member, PAS events can be as little as $99/day with early registration. If you're a first timer, the cost is $175. First-timers get 3 hours of classroom and at least 2 ride with an instructor sessions. After that you're on your own for at least two and sometimes three, 20 to 25 minute sessions. Oh yeah, you'll need a helmet.

If your schedule allows it's better to run with PAS on Friday as the track is less crowded. There are discounts off the $100 if you run multiple days on the same weekend.
