Well, finally got my baby back. Here's the rundown:

If you recall, in another post, I was concerned about this big list of squawks I had been accumulating and that, since they had to practically dismantle my interior, it would come back to me full of buzzes, rattles, broken and scuffed trim pieces, etc.

Well, all I can say is that Guy Hernandez and his service team did an OUTSTANDING job.

Fixed:

1) 1-2 Transmission grind (SB 00-055).

Man, this thing is shifting smooth as silk now. No more notchy feel. No more embarrassing looks when shifting under acceleration and having the gears grind.

They put in new 1-2 countershaft gear sets.

2) Transmission "buzz" when decelerating (SB 00-054).

Silence- better than when it was new. This was a real irritation for me because it sounded like a Pontiac 6000 when it was slowing down. Aaaaagghhh!!

They replaced the clutch disc with one that has better spacers.

3) Driver's Window not going down all the time (SB 01-008).

Works great now- in all modes. Like new.

They replaced the whole window regulator assembly.

4) Seat belt recall.

Mine was not exhibiting the problem, so I notice no difference. They did not tear up my interior doing the work though. . .

5) In-dash CD skips intermittently.

Time will tell on this one. Seems fine so far. Again, they did not mar my interior when replacing the entire radio assembly.

6) Carpet cut from floor mat installation.

The replacement set, which was brand new HAD THE SAME FLAP CUT!!!!

They are going back to Honda America on this one. Stay tuned.

7) RPM drop below idle when engine is warm and clutch is depressed.

They could not duplicate the problem so this one is still hanging out there. It's just a minor annoyance right now- mostly when someone is with me and they ask why it felt like the car just about died.

8) Replace windshield because of chips

They put factory glass in and it doesn't even look like it had anything done to it. Perfect.

Anyway- just wanted to share my experience with you. Arrowhead did a GREAT job and they even gave me a CRV to drive while they were working on my baby for three days. They kept it indoors at night and allowed only their S2000 specialist to touch the car. It shows.

Later,
-Darrin

Good to hear there is another great dealer for service in AZ. I am happy with Scottsdale, but if I ever have problems when in the west valley I will not be afraid to visit Arrowhead.

Yeah- that is good to know (at least 2 good dealers).

If Arrowhead would have given me any reason to really doubt their ability I would have gone to Scotsdale- per your suggestion. Arrowhead is much closer to work, so. . .
