Default Vanity plates

I broke down in a moment of Vodka induced weakness the other night and submitted applications for a couple of vanity plates.

91 GTI - "A2VR6" on a U of A plate
^ the MK2/A2 chassis never came with a VR6 from the factory. It is becoming popular to swap in the VR6 motor into this lighter chassis and have fun hunting down Mustangs and Camaros with the V8 muscle. And, apparently, S2000s ....

03 S2k - "9500RPM" on a standard AZ plate
^ self-explanatory, I love explaining to the ignorant that my RWD Honda spins to 9500 RPMs stock from the factory. They ask what flavor of bike I own and that usually ends the conversation.

Discuss ....

Well, unless your S is different from everyone else, the redline is at 9000RPM and the cutoff is around 9200-9300RPM, so the 9500RPM plate is false advertising!!!

I'm special, everyone knows it.

Not like Jerry's kids though ......

Question then, why does the tach bounce off the 5th red hash? Was I BOLDFACE LIED TO by Matsuko Hiroshimo who designed the dash?

I believe the bounce noted when you hit the limiter is done to more clearly identify that you should not be there.

SMLUL8R on my RX-8. The 8 is an obvious reference to name of the car. "Smell you later" phrase stolen from The Simpsons TV show among other places.

I was thinking about something like 12krdln for the S. They changed the redline on the yellow ones to 12000 rpm to compensate for the extra weight of the fastest color.

"Smell you later Bart, smell you later forever." - Ralph Wiggum

"I still can't believe 'smell you later' replaced good bye." - Bart

Classic episode.

Anyone know who owns the Spa with the plate "WOWEEEE"? Saw it on I-10E the other day.
