Just got off the phone with the company where I had ordered my rims from, and due to the recent catastrophic events that crippled parts of Japan, my order is basically like Obama's military strategy for the middle east, wait and see. So, what was an 8-10 week wait, has now become an indefinite wait. In the meantime, I do enjoy the 16 inch AP1 crome stockies, I was interested in getting something that is a little wider for the interim period while I am anxiously waiting for my new CR kais. I thought maybe some rpf-1's, or something else. I really do not want to spend more than 500 or 600 on yet another set of rims. What do you guys think I should do?

Used RPF-1's are an option, but still going to be over your budget. Probably the easiest thing would be to get some AP2 wheels, which you can turn around and sell for what you paid down the road. THey really never drop below $400 in value. I have some really crappy tires laying around for AP2's if you need them. Another option with the AP2's are to run 20 and 25mm spacers. Will fill the wheel wells out and look pretty aggressive! At least if you go to AP2's you can get some 255's out back and get some traction

Personally, i think a set of AP2 V3's would look nice and clean on your car....

 

ap2 wheels or rotas are in your price range. I would sell you my white ones for that price if your interested in them.

Nick, your old AP2V2s are for sale.

Try to pick up some 9.5s or 10s in the rear so you can run a 275 tire in the back. You can do 9.5 +~42 or 10 +49 or higher and should be able to get away without rubbing.

Somebody on Craigslist has a set of Rotas for $300 he said he took off an S2K. Check it out: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/pts/2277093209.html although they look a little crappy, better than stockers.

Id part with the ap2 v2 powder coated black, they were blakes old wheels, with some falken 512s on them for the right price, tires have maybe 6k miles on them.
