Default What the heck

Is it almost impossible to make a thread without getting locked or deleted at all on this forum? My post about the quickest S2k had absolutely zero to do with street racing!!!!! I'm not some punk kid that's out racing people stop light to stop light. I'm a business man and the guy that owns the car I'm doing is probably one of the oldest on this forum period!!!

I was simply curious as to who had the quickest in town because I rarely see anyone post 1/4 miles times and I'd like to know how the car(S2K turbo) I'm finishing now stands?

Huh?

I locked one thread you posted and clearly stated my reasons for doing so. I haven't deleted anything and I looked in the dumpster, nothing there that you started - so I don't know what you are talking about on deleted threads...

Your type of post inevitably turns into a street encounters problem and that's not acceptable.

I gave ANYONE who wanted to tell you about their car an option to PM you so you could find out where you "stand" since it is important to you and I realized that. The post is still there, with the option to PM you. Just scroll down the list of threads.

If you took my closing your thread personally you have the option to PM me or another CO and state your concerns. It is really simple just click the PM under any of my posts...

Hey brett,
Unfortunately many s2k's over in this area are not in the sector for quater mile drags... I know of a few in the valley that are running 4.77 gears with 380 to the wheels if that gives you any idea.. that would put them in the low 13's high twelves with a good driver.

As for teh locked thread... there are a few agencies that are known to rummage around on the board to find anything about abusing the car (dealerships) and street racing (cops) so we try to keep everything about street racing or racing on the down low. We all here are fairly easy going guys so there pretty much was nothing personal when it came down to locking the thread. Brett you or gt30r should bring the turbo S to the southwest meet so we can all drool over the kit

I posted a thread complaining about the censorship on your post and my thread was completely deleted. None of you saw it because it was deleted about five min. after I posted it. It doesn't matter what anybody says about people looking on the site, he asked about track times and that is not illegal. Like I said before, the moderator needs to go back to getting his brain washed by fox new!

Thanks pdfs2K - good idea, but I don't watch O'Reilly anyway.

I did not delete either post and I have no idea who did or would have either.

As stated above by me and by Raginazn, who is not a CO or moderator - but who has been around long enough, locking a thread does not mean the person who started it did anything wrong, it means we've seen enough of the issues already come about from the question. When you have more than 2 months under your belt, watch the boards daily and become a member you'll understand - after 4 years I've seen it all and I am very confident of what happens next. Just because it is posted in the Arizona forum doesn't mean we are the only ones who will post in the thread - simply click NEW POSTS in the upper right and you'll see them all - that's where the blank hits the fan when it comes to "post your times."

I gave ANYONE who wanted to talk to Metal Man an option when I locked the thread and posted that option. Not sure why you and Metal Man think that constitutes censorship since the post is still there - he was able to ask his question.

Censorship is allowed - read the agreement when you sign up - this is not an anything goes forum, just like 99.9% of the forums out there. There is a limit. When I am online I watch carefully and react in the way I feel is appropriate. If there is a concern the person in question has the option to PM me. Very simple, very rational.

I hope this addresses your concerns pfds2k.

Or maybe some people just don't care to make their car fast for a 1/4 mile.
