Default Whistling Noise

I am noticing a brief whistling noise coming from the engine compartment at about 3000 rpm on acceleration only. Anyone know what this might be???

Hmm could be a loose hose or fitting. I remember my moms car had a very hard to hear kinda sqeak and it was a small hole in some hose. Have you checked that your fittings are tight. Look for anything that is cracked or what not. Or any loose parts that air could be rushing through making the noise.

That sounds like a belt slipping. My whistling is similar but isn't as harsh and doesn't have the same warble as that one. I have a thought or two about it, but wanted to see what the feedback was so I didn't pollute the idea stream.

Well, that noise is actually coming from my throttle body\intake. It sounds pretty harsh in that video because the mic is so close to the air filter. It is directly related to rpm and throttle percentage and most noticeable at around 3k rpm.

This. They all whistle like this. Once you hear it once you can never un-hear it.

It's just weird because it didn't do it until the last few weeks. I was wondering if it was a belt tension thing or a pulley bearing...

Your hamster wheel needs to be lubed, lol. I used to get the "crickets in the intake" sound with my old intake and it sounds like this might be what you are experiencing.

I was going to ask where I could buy hamster lube, but that just doesn't sound right!
