I will have a separate thread for my aftermarket parts.
Would my best option be to buy it back and part it out? I'm highly considering an E46 M3. I have no clue how the totaling issue goes.

See what the insurance co offers it to you for. S2000 parts are worth $$$ on their own if you want to deal with all that or someone may take the whole thing off your hands as a track donor.
E46 prices have been sinking lately, probably due to the excitement over the E92. I have been considering one too but I'm waiting to see where they level off at. I don't want to buy high so to speak just in case I don't like it. I want to be able to resell it for even money.
