Windshield, Mats & Top
I need to replace my windshield and also my carpet mats. Before I do these, I have a few questions and hope you guys can help out: (1) The Honda glass seems particularly soft. Has anybody found a better mfg (PPG or ?) for a replacement, or is it better to stick with the OEM? (2) I had a horrible experience with a windshield installer for my Lexus. There was a microscopic leak that whistled at speed. Does anyone recommend a shop in Tucson or Phoenix? (3) Which carpet mats are better, Muz or Rick's?. (4) Robbins is marketing a replacement top for the 00-01 S2000s that includes a glass rear window. Has anybody tried it yet? If so, (5) do you know of a good installer?
I have had a couple of windshields and all of the pit/chip easily - however the stock one is probably the worst. The one that lasted the longest was a Pilkington (but it also needs to be replaced now).
There were some threads in the main forums about glass selection and all I remember is that the OEM glass is very soft. Also - make sure you specify that you want the OEM Honda windshield gasket (appearance and wind-noise.
I think Backcracker may have that Robbins top on his car - shoot him a PM

For the windshield installation, I would definitely call K&B Autoglass. They are awesome! The only ones that I would ever use. As far as quality between Honda and aftermarket, I really have never seen any difference between the two. According to glass companies, PPG is the same as factory, just without the name printed on the glass. For the top, I would have Cesar install it. He is the best!
